Consultation with Dr David Kent

Consultation with Dr David Kent

This is to determine that your eyes are otherwise normal and healthy. It is also important to have an opportunity to meet the eye surgeon performing your procedure and have any questions answered that you may have. To enable us to evaluate your eyes in all lighting conditions your pupils may need to be enlarged (dilated) using eyedrops to simulate a night time pupil.  If you are a contact lens wearer we will advise you as to the period of time that you will be required to cease wearing contact lenses prior to your consultation.  This appointment takes approximately 2 hours

On the day of the procedure you will need to have someone drive you to and from the clinic for your treatment.  Please do not wear any make-up or moisturising creams on or around your eyes for 24hrs prior to this appointment.  You will need to allow approximately 1 to 1½  hours. When you arrive at the clinic for your treatment you will be offered medication (lorazepam) to help you relax.
