I joined the team at Fendalton Eye Clinic in September 2019.
I began my career in optics in the UK in 1984 and initially worked as an optical technician and ran a lab making glasses in Hastings, south east of England. I then moved in to the dispensing side of optics and qualified as a Dispensing Optician in the late 80’s. The next step to further my career would be Optometry and I received my degree from Aston University in Birmingham gaining my BSc (hons) and membership to the College of optometrists in the mid 90’s. I worked as an Optometrist in East Sussex for 12 years before we moved to NZ in 2006. I worked in Auckland in different roles in the optical industry and owned and managed a practice for over 10 years before moving south to Christchurch in 2019 to be closer to family.
In my spare time I am involved with a local church and enjoy dirt biking and DIY
